HARDWARE

Hardware (Hardware) was physical equipment from the computer, that consisted of CPU, Keyboard, Monitor, Diskdrive, Printer, et cetera.

• CPU. CPU was the brain from the computer that arranged and processed all the work of the computer. CPU this consisted of the component - the electronics component and IC that usually are given by the name in accordance with type him, for example 8088 for PC XT, 80386 for PC AT, 80586 to pentium.
• Monitor. The monitor was the audio-visual aid that enabled the user to communicate with the computer. There were two type the monitor that is High Resolution consisted of the monitor color and the monitor non color. To that was coloured there are those that used EGA (Enhamced Graphic Adapter) or VGA (the Graphic Array Video). To that was not coloured (non color) used MDA (Monochrome Display Adapter) and the Resolution Medium consisted of the monitor color and non color. To that was coloured used CGA Card (Color Graphic Adapter) to be not coloured was named Composite.
• Printer. Printer was useful printed results of the computer. The measurement printer usually was bisected that is the measurement 80 columns and 132 columns. Printer was distinguished to several kinds that is: the Matrik Teat, Ink Jet, Daisy Whekk, Laser Writer.
• Diskette and Hardisk. The diskette was the storage media of the permanent data. The diskette had the measurement 5 1/4 inch and 3 1/2 inch. A measuring diskette 51/4 inch and 3 1/2 this the storage capacity was that Low Density (Double Density) and High Density. Hardisk also was the storage media of the permanent data, but had the storage capacity was bigger and time read and wrote far more faster compared with the diskette. The storage capacity was to the diskette mentioned byte (1 FAMILY PLANNING = 1024 byte, 1 MB = 1024 FAMILY PLANNING, 1GB = 1024MB).
• Disk Drive. The diskette drive was an implement that was used to read and write the data to the diskette. The Drive disk also had a function of controlling the mechanism from the diskette.
• Keyboard. Keyboard had the form like the key to the typewriter, with the increase in several parts. There were two kinds keyboard with 84 keys and 101 keys/the switch. If being paid attention to by the form keyboard that was general was divided into 3 parts, that is Function Key, Typewriter Key, and numeric keypa.
